Mold Financial Adviser Donates £2,000 To Glan Clwyd Hospital

Darren Booth, director of wealth management company D&G Independent Ltd, and his partner Dawn have donated £2,000 to the maternity ward at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Following the birth of their twin boys, James and Thomas, the couple wanted to thank the hospital for the care they received throughout Dawn’s pregnancy and following the birth. The couple’s kind donation will be used to purchase sonic aids for the ward, which are used to monitor babies antenatally and during labour.

Commenting on the support they received at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Darren said:

“The staff on the maternity ward were phenomenal and we received an outstanding level of care. Due to the nature of Dawn’s pregnancy, she had to attend regular appointments to ensure the safe arrival of James and Thomas. Having received such an exceptional level of care, we would like to support the ward by donating these funds so the staff can purchase more specialist equipment.”

Darren and Dawn returned to the hospital with James and Thomas to present a cheque for £2,000 to Julie Reeve, Matron for Women’s Services and Beryl Jones, Midwife. On receiving the donation, Julie said:

“We very much appreciate the kind donation made by Darren and Dawn. It will be used to buy four new sonic aids for the ward, which are used to monitor the heartbeat of babies. By purchasing this equipment, we will continue to provide safe care for mothers and their babies.”
